Working alongside Hildegard Bechtler, Nina created a projections for Glyndebourne Festival’s new production of ‘La Traviata’. Hildegard’s perfectly balanced design demanded an abstract yet grounded approach, much like the staging of Tom Cairn’s production. The designs included an enigmatic animated gauze curtain for the front cloth that was echoed in the final moments of the heroine, her death set against a pure white curtain blowing on a bare stage as well as a series of scene-setting projections that completed the set centre stage, aiding the changing setting and atmosphere an at times populated by distant partygoers.
