Burlesque The Musical captivates with stunning visuals, music, and impressive…
Manchester / Glasgow

Burlesque Musical’s first run in Manchester and Glasgow hit all the right notes over the summer. The show is based on the iconic 2010 film starring and featuring music by Christina Aguilera and features fresh new music by Jess Folley and Todrick Hall, Sia and Diane Warren.
Our team was delighted to collaborate on the production and has garnered praise from critics for our integral part in the show’s storytelling & delivering ‘iconic music video and world-stage concert vibes’.

Broadway World
“The staging is incredibly impressive. Soutra Gilmour‘s set design is jaw-dropping as the stage revolves and takes us from the club to Jackson’s apartment and the backstage dressing rooms. Nina Dunn‘s video design is stunning and gives everything a fresh and modern feel. I don’t believe that regional theatre should ever be seen as lesser to the West End and Burlesque is a show that gives us absolutely everything you would expect to see on a big London stage.”

Manchester Theatres
“This production is a visual feast…Given its phenomenal success in Manchester after smashing it in Glasgow, it’s no surprise that…plans are underway for a wider tour (and why not the West End?), poised to captivate audiences across the UK with its kinetic energy and razzle-dazzle.”
Musical Theatre Review
“These designs are beyond anything I have ever seen before…The detail is exceptional.
It places you in the heart of New York, and then—the brilliance is—it will play with graphics for the Burlesque routines, giving you iconic music videos, world-stage concert vibes, artistic images, and will blow your mind at just about every turn!”

Corblimey UK
“As does Nina Dunn’s video design, which is entirely practical and benefits the show tremendously with its flash and glamour, enabling close-ups to sneak past the lights and sparkle to show a depth of emotion for Folley, or the circling antagonism of Nina Ann Nelson’s brilliantly malevolent and snarling Nikki. “
“Soutra Gilmour’s large and shifted industrial set is manoeuvred around the offer dimension and weight to the show.”
