Daniel’s refreshing approach for the design elements featured in the play within a play – including music, lighting, sound and video – was for it to appear as if they had been created by the 1968 graduating class of Albion House, where the play is set.  This presented its own challenges including sourcing period equipment and plenty of research.

‘Rig check’

The result is wholly worthwhile and proves a joyous feast for the senses, at once laced with nostalgia but also presciently timely given the political landscape changes that have ensued in the intervening 50 years since that play’s first performance.

This is a huge production with a giant heart and it has been a joy to be part of such a fantastic team on and off stage.
